Approach to Healing
Care grounded in lineage-based Classical Chinese Medicine, systems thinking, and individualized clinical insight
Clinical Focus
Dr. Loop commonly works with individuals experiencing complex, chronic, or multi-system patterns that benefit from thoughtful, individualized care, including:
- Persistent or recurrent pain and movement dysfunction
- Neurological, stress-related, and autonomic patterns
- Digestive, immune, and inflammatory conditions
- Hormonal and reproductive regulation challenges
- Fatigue, recovery difficulty, and energy-regulation patterns
- Sleep and circadian imbalance
- Headaches and chronic tension patterns
- Metabolic, respiratory, renal, cardiovascular, and skin-related concerns requiring a broader integrative perspective
Care is individualized and refined over time according to clinical response, addressing both presenting symptoms and the deeper patterns contributing to imbalance.
The practice is particularly suited to individuals seeking depth, discernment, and continuity of care—especially when health concerns are complex, chronic, interconnected, or have not fully responded to single-modality approaches.
What to Expect
Care begins with careful listening and a detailed, individualized assessment. Treatment may support symptom relief while also addressing the deeper regulatory and constitutional patterns influencing health.
Progress is approached thoughtfully rather than forced. Treatment evolves according to clinical findings and response, with an emphasis on appropriate timing, continuity, and sustained improvement.
Care may integrate acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, selective manual therapies, nutritional guidance, and cultivation practices within a unified diagnostic and therapeutic process. Western diagnostics, laboratory findings, and medical records are welcomed when relevant and considered within the broader clinical picture.
The Healing Loop™
All care is guided by The Healing Loop™—a systems-based clinical framework developed by Dr. Loop to guide individualized assessment, treatment selection, sequencing, and refinement over time.
The framework operates quietly beneath the care you receive, helping treatment remain responsive and well-sequenced without requiring patients to navigate the underlying theory or complexity.
Clinical Orientation & Philosophy
Dr. Loop practices within the lineage-based scholar–physician tradition of Classical Chinese Medicine, drawing upon its classical diagnostic methods and deep herbal traditions.
Diagnosis and treatment are guided by careful listening and observation, detailed pulse examination, channel and tissue palpation, pattern differentiation, and ongoing assessment of how the individual responds to treatment.
Rather than focusing on symptoms in isolation, care considers the classical relationship between root and branch while examining patterns across interconnected aspects of physiology—including digestion, immunity, hormonal and metabolic function, circulation, nervous system regulation, and constitutional vitality.
Clinical discernment, appropriate timing, and therapeutic restraint are central to this approach. When appropriate, care is coordinated thoughtfully with conventional medical providers.
Training & Integrative Perspective
Dr. Loop completed his clinical doctorate in Classical Chinese Medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) through an intensive, in-residence clinical training program, with formal study and training encompassing:
- Classical Chinese Medicine and its herbal traditions
- Acupuncture and electroacupuncture
- Classical diagnostic methods, including pulse and palpatory assessment
- Medical qigong and therapeutic movement
- Naturopathic and integrative medical sciences
- Western herbalism and Ayurvedic therapeutic principles
These disciplines broaden clinical perspective and contribute to constitutional understanding, lifestyle guidance, and systems-based thinking. They are integrated into the practice rather than presented as separate medical systems.
Classical Chinese Medicine remains the primary diagnostic and therapeutic foundation of care.
